Well, I am excited about this week for many reasons. This week is week 8 for Walden, therefore I do not have any applications or discussions due. I only have a reflective essay due for each class. Both will be due by Sunday. I hope to have them both done by Thursday, if not sooner. After those are turned in, I will have two weeks off! YEAH!!! (Can you hear the excitement in my typing?!)
Also this week, we will have the benefit and BBQ plate sale for Amye & Eric. The event is Saturday night beginning at 6:00. Austin and Granddaddy will sing, along with Coley Station, The Lee Jessup Band and Scrap Iron. The night will be enjoyable so if you get a chance, please come and join us. Please say a prayer the weather will cooperate. It has been soooo hot. The event is outside, so I am praying for cooler temperatures. The mid 90s will feel like a cold front, and I am willing to wear a jacket :)!
Daddy is coming this weekend, as well as Wynita & Palmer. Mom is still in Alaska visiting with her mom, brothers and sisters. She will be home on Sept 1st.
Anyway, pray for cooler weather and easy reflective essays. Until then...

First day of school!
Whew! Well, we have made it through the first day of school. Today was the first day with students and everything went well. Austin starts on Monday at GAB. His schedule is different from Bleckley's schedule.
Here is a cute cartoon someone emailed me today... and yes....our summer vacation was too short! (179 more school days until next summer break!) Just kidding, I love to teach, but I would have taken another week of summer if they would have given it to us...but they didn't so we are ready to learn. I will be glad when my first graders can write an essay.
