Week in review:

This has been a very busy week for the Rogers family. Austin has had it the easiest to say the least. He was on Spring Break, and the break continues until Tuesday. It will be hard to get back into the routine again getting him ready for the school bus so early.

Britleigh and I have been taking the CRCT. I gave it Tuesday - Thursday. Britleigh started taking it on Tuesday, and will continue on Monday. She has five days of testing. The test is given in the morning for about two hours. It took the Primary School about 2.5 hours because I have to read everything to my students.

Doug worked his regular schedule, and then started on house projects. On Thursday and Friday, he and Austin worked together while Brit and I were at school.

Yesterday, Britleigh and I stained (by hand) the deck. It is very nice that it is finished, but it was a big and very time consuming job. Doug spray painted the exterior doors. He worked on four doors. It all looks great, but we are all very sore this morning. I could hardly get out of bed.

I'll post pictures later.
Until then...

Pictures from Easter Weekend

Palmer playing in Gran's room with Aunt Danette and Gran
while his mom was resting.

Austin enjoyed sitting in "Big Blue". This truck has been an important
part of the farm for over 50 years.

Our Easter egg hunt was a chilly one.
We did not hunt eggs very long. It was extremely windy.
Austin, Britleigh and Palmer had a great time though.
They each found a golden prize egg courtesy of Gran and Papa.
We all had a wonderful time visiting each other at Gran and Papa's house.
We attended our home church Sunday morning and watched a dramatized cantata.
It was nice to see everyone again.
Until next time...

Happy Easter

HAPPY EASTER!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. We went to my parents' house for the weekend, and had a wonderful time. My sister and her family, along with my brother and his family were there too. We definitely enjoyed seeing Palmer. He is growing up too fast.

Daniel has a "baby" too. They got a chocolate lab named Andi this weekend. It will be fun watching Andi and Palmer grow up together. Palmer will be riding Andi's back soon I am sure.

I will post some Easter pictures soon. We are headed to bed now. We are all exhausted, and it is school time tomorrow for all of us. :(

This picture was taken in November 05. It is one of my favorite family pictures. We went to Nashville for Thanksgiving. We had a great time. This picture was taken inside the Gaylord Hotel.

Ok, well here it goes...

Well...my first post to the blog my wonderful sister set up for me. I am really glad she did. I have wanted to get one started, but have not had the time to do it myself.

This week, I am on spring break. Britleigh is too, and she is enjoying the company of Gran & Papa. They came up on Sunday and took her home with them.

Austin is in school this week. His spring break is the week of the 16th. He is actually taking the CRCT this week. He took the Reading part yesterday, Lang Arts today, and Math will be tomorrow. He is very good in Math so that should be easy. I guess he got his mom's math genes.

Doug is working his regular schedule, so I have to be quiet in the mornings. Washing clothes does not make too much noise. I have had to put Peanut outside on his leash a couple of time though. He can bark at the craziest things.

We are going to Thomasville for the Easter weekend. We are actually going on Thursday evening. I am ready to see Britleigh already. I am sure she is having a good time with Gran & Papa though.

Well, it is time to write a paper. I am trying to get as much Walden done this week as possible. It will be back to the real world next week.

Until then...

My First Post!

Well my first post is actually coming from my sister, Wynita. She set this wonderful website up for me. Isn't she GREAT! I just love her to death. She has the most wonderful husband in the world! (not to say mine isn't). She has the cutest little boy in the world! (mine excluded). Enough about her! I could spend all day typing and run out of space just letting you know how special and wonderful my sister is! Thank goodness I have her in my life. It would not be complete with out her!

I'll post more later.
