Britleigh did an outstanding job today at the Middle School Regional Competition. Her time was 17:05 and she came in 15th place. The meet was at Bleckley County. This is the same course she ran in 6 weeks ago and ran 18:29 and came in 27th. WAY TO GO BRITLEIGH! We are so proud of you. (I'll post pictures from the meet soon.)
Last Saturday, Britleigh ran in the Vidalia Meet and ran in 15:59 and came in 14th. The course was not as tough so her time was better. She has improved at every race and coming back today to the Bleckley course with over a minute off her time is great!
She has another race this Saturday at Bleckley. This race is a Bleckley Invitational. The following Saturday, Oct 27th, will be the State Championship meet. It will be hosted by Bleckley County as well.
On a sad note, my sister-in-law Amye lost her battle with cancer this past Saturday. Please continue to remember Eric and her boys. Her funeral was yesterday.
